Malia Jones believes strong communities are built when people have access to connection, opportunity, and spaces where they truly belong. Through The Breakroom and Friends, she is creating those spaces for youth, families, creatives, entrepreneurs, and neighbors alike.
Her vision is for The Breakroom and Friends to become a trusted gathering place where families discover resources, young people discover purpose, entrepreneurs find opportunity, creatives share their gifts, and neighbors become collaborators.
Our Story
Founded in 2020, The Breakroom and Friends began as a vision to create a positive, welcoming space where people could find hope, creativity, and genuine connection during a time of uncertainty. Since then, it has grown into a community-driven organization dedicated to strengthening relationships and expanding opportunities for people of all ages.
Today, TBRAF serves as a community hub that brings together families, local organizations, entrepreneurs, artists, and volunteers through experiences that inspire connection, creativity, wellness, and access to resources. Through community events, family activities, volunteer opportunities, and partnerships, TBRAF creates spaces where people can connect, learn, give back, and grow together.
At TBRAF, we believe meaningful change happens through collaboration. We partner with nonprofits, schools, businesses, artists, and community members to strengthen families, support local talent, and expand access to resources. We believe our greatest resource is each other.
